Beacon Hill Legal is seeking an experienced Trial Paralegal with expertise in managing and operating courtroom presentation software, specifically Trial Director. This key position will play an essential role in trial preparation and courtroom operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience as a hot seat operator in civil/commercial trials, and a strong background in the production of exhibits and presentations for litigation. This opportunity is direct hire, full-time, and fully in-person.
Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in trial preparation by reviewing, redacting, and designating production documents
Organize and maintain electronic case data, ensuring accessibility and integrity
Index and Bates stamp documents
Assist in the collection, review, and production of electronically stored information (ESI) during discovery
Collaborate with attorneys and the litigation team to prepare trial exhibits and courtroom presentations
Set up and operate audiovisual equipment during trials to present evidence and exhibits
Maintain accurate discovery records, including logs for privilege, custody, and production
Liaise with trial support vendors as necessary
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Multimedia Design, Legal Studies, or related field; or High School Diploma with relevant experience
Certification in courtroom presentation software or multimedia production (a plus); Paralegal Certification (a plus)
Prior experience in a litigation support role, required
Experience in courtroom presentations or multimedia production, preferably in a legal setting
Proficiency in presentation software (Trial Director, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, etc.)
Familiarity with audiovisual equipment and courtroom technologies
Strong creative and visual design skills to present complex legal concepts effectively
Experience with document management software (DISCO, Relativity, Concordance, etc.)
Knowledge of discovery rules, Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP), and local court rules
Knowledge of legal procedures and courtroom etiquette (preferred)
Compensation for this opportunity is open for negotiation and commensurate with experience.
