We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Quality Control Lab Technician to join our team. The QC Lab Technician will be responsible for performing a range of analytical tests to support operations and ensure products meet customer and regulatory expectations. This individual will also take on a leadership role by ensuring others are properly trained and proficient in analytical testing, and will serve as the investigative point of contact for business unit-specific issues.
The QC Lab Technician is a key member of our quality control team, acting as a liaison between the laboratory and Quality Assurance (QA) to address customer complaints, internal investigations, and recertification requests. This position provides opportunities for professional growth, hands-on experience with cutting-edge laboratory technologies, and the chance to collaborate across departments to drive quality excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Analytical Testing & Prioritization: Perform finished product and in-process quality testing, prioritizing testing efforts based on departmental goals and business needs.
Customer & Internal Relations: Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with company objectives and customer requirements.
Investigative Analysis: Lead investigations related to product issues, customer complaints, or process deviations, utilizing additional testing or analysis as necessary to resolve concerns.
Training & Development: Support the training of colleagues, both hourly and salaried employees, in proper testing techniques and processes to maintain high standards of quality.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring all documentation is organized and up-to-date.
SOP Revision: Contribute to the revision of laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure they reflect the latest scientific developments, customer needs, and industry best practices.
Technical Assistance: Provide technical support to operations management to help meet quality goals, assist with troubleshooting, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Calibration & Maintenance: Assist with the calibration and repair of laboratory equipment, ensuring that all instruments are properly maintained and functional.
Reporting & Data Analysis: Build and maintain control charts for summarizing testing data, ensuring all findings are communicated clearly to appropriate stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related technical field preferred. Professional work experience is in lieu of degree.
