Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul tasks on military commercial derivatives, fighter aircraft, and aircraft components.
Read and interpret wire schematics and diagrams for accurate installations and repairs.
Execute bonding, resistance, and continuity checks independently.
Locate proper wire routing and conduct AC/DC power checks.
Complete wiring installations per specifications, including proper spacing, cable tie usage, and connector handling.
Perform wiring terminations such as stripping, crimping, and soldering.
Use electrical tools such as crimpers, megohmmeters, multimeters, and bond meters proficiently.
Install specialized cabling, including fiber optics and coaxial cables.
Conduct air data testing and scheduled maintenance tasks on avionic and electrical systems.
Maintain compliance with safety protocols, tool inventories, and regulatory standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement and ensure the delivery of quality results on time.
Support team efforts, embracing diversity and inclusion, and report issues as part of an open safety culture.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma/GED
Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Experience:
6+ years of experience as an aircraft mechanic (Experience in either commercial or defense or relevant trade apprenticeship would be considered).
6+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
FAA Airframe and/or Power Plant certification.
Familiarity with aircraft maintenance practices, including Human Factors, FOD control, and health & safety standards.
