Description:
A post-doctoral position is immediately available in the Division of Immunology at the Tulane National Primate Research Center, affiliated with the School of Medicine at Tulane University. Candidates will investigate the underlying mechanisms of immune dysfunction in HIV/SIV infection and examine the impact of co-infections on HIV immunopathogenesis. The postdoctoral candidate will conduct research projects focused on examining the impact of malaria co-infection on SIV-associated intestinal mucosal dysfunction, as well as how concurrent HIV infection affects malaria infection in pregnancy and subsequent infant immune development.
