Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.

Unit Position Summary

The MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM) is seeking applicants for a part-time professional aide. This position will work with the MSUCOM Office of Academic and Career Advising and works to serve osteopathic medical students through the career planning process throughout the 4-year D.O. curriculum. This position is remote with a flexible schedule.



Key responsibilities include the following:



  • Providing formative feedback and instruction to osteopathic doctoral students on their career documents, such as personal statements, noteworthy characteristics, and curriculum vitaes.

  • Develop weekly career planning updates for dissemination to clerkship cohorts

  • Plan and execute webinars a few times a year on career related topics

  • Maintain confidentiality.

  • Perform other duties as needed.

  • Proficiency in basic technology use.

  • High degree of social and communication skills.

  • Proof of bachelors degree in English, Writing/Composition, Education/Adult Education, or related.
