Senior Manager of Telecom Generator Sales



Travel and Work Mode:


  • • Domestic travel, 40-50%

  • • International travel, 5%. As needed with key account management or Global team engagement

  • • The position is remote, with travel to the headquarters or factory locations as needed.


BASIC FUNCTION



This is your unique opportunity to set your mark and live on the leading edge. The Senior Manager of Telcom and Edge Data Center Sales, manages the sales and servicing of Industrial product generator sets, transfer switches, switchgear, and accessories. This position manages the Industrial product National Account sales within North America as it relates to the Telecommunications and Edge Data Center businesses.

As a Senior Manager of Telcom and Edge Data Center Sales, Americas, in Telecom segment for Rehlko, this is a multifaceted role that involves strategic planning, client relationship management, and technical collaboration. This role provides guidance, consistent with Rehlko specified targets, to the sales team and other associates responsible for (1) for supervising and developing a sales team (2) POWER SYSTEMS market and account planning activities, (3) success or failure across all target accounts and projects assigned.

Here are some of the key responsibilities of this role:



Sales Strategy and Execution



  • • Develop and implement sales strategies: Craft comprehensive plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share for the AMER Telecom/Edge team, leveraging the Rehlko family of businesses with our vast product offerings.



  • • Market research: Work in tandem with the Channel Manager of Power Solutions and the market research team at Rehlko to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and the competitive landscape within the data center and energy sectors.



  • • Make decisions within guidelines on pricing and compose/document quotations to customers.


Client Relationship Management



  • • Client interface: Coach, mentor and lead the direct sales associates and account managers. Ensure they are leading customer meetings, presentations, and contract negotiations.

  • • Maintain relationships: Develop and sustain strong relationships with key decision-makers at various organizational levels both inside and outside of the Rehlko organization.


Technical Collaboration and Solution Development



  • • Coordinate with engineering and construction teams: Evaluate sales opportunities, manage customer specifications, and conduct cost-saving, value engineered options along with ROI analyses.

  • • Solutions Packaging: Ensure the proposals team is working effectively and efficiently with the most current tools, leveraging AI and other forward-looking tools to provide swift, accurate and detailed customer quotations.

  • • Product positioning: Make sure the sales team is equipped to articulate the distinct aspects of the Rehlko family of businesses and position them against competitors.

  • • Develop and retain competent technical mastery of Rehlko hardware, including generators, controls, ATS and related technical topics required to competently sell the systems. Examples of those topics would be sizing, emissions, sound attenuation, etc.


Leadership and Team Management



  • • Guide sales teams: Provide direction on best practices and strategies for effective client engagement and closing orders.

  • • Foster partnerships: Develop an internal and external partnership ecosystem to support customer acquisition and develop a sustainable opportunity funnel with our direct and channel partners.

  • • Channel relationships: Ensure clear and consistent engagement is driven and maintained with the sales team at Rehlko and their regional and global channel partners and distributors.


Industry Engagement



  • • Share Insights: Contributing to articles in industry magazines, journals, or online platforms allows. Share insights and experiences.

  • • Build Credibility: Regularly publishing content with our industry partners. Become a trusted voice in the industry.


Contract Negotiation



  • • Lead negotiations: Manage and oversee negotiations for contracts, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with Rehlko and customers' needs are met, and impacts of regulatory requirements are considered.


Reporting and Analysis



  • • Sales performance metrics: Regularly monitor and communicate sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and champion success.

  • • Sales reports: Create sales reporting and score boarding metrics that align with performance metrics for the team.

  • • Provide accurate forecasts, short and long range, for Rehlko Industrial products.

  • • Manage and carry out the administrative functions, which include call reports, expense reports, route sheets, credit follow-up and other special reports requested by the team.


Customer Retention



  • • Ensure Satisfaction: Work to ensure timeliness of response is maintained, make certain our service/warranty organization understands the client needs and relationships. Partner with Rehlko Distribution networks to guarantee attention is given to key customers per contracts.

  • • Share Insights: Contribute articles to industry magazines, journals, or online platforms.

  • • Build Credibility: Regularly publish content to become a trusted voice in the industry.

  • • Highlight Success Stories: Share case studies and success stories that demonstrate the value their team.



  • • Feedback Loop: Regularly ask for feedback and act on it. Ensure customers know that their opinions matter.


Celebrate Successes



  • • Shared Successes: Celebrate milestones and successes with their team and customers.



Skills/Requirements



The ideal candidate:

  • • Will have aBS (Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering preferred) / equivalent degree or w/ 15 years of relevant industry experience

  • • Will have 10-15 years of proven success quoting complex on-site power system

  • • Will have 10-15 years of proven success in managing and growing a team of sales managers

  • • Will have strong financial acumen

The salary range for this position is $145200 - $186700. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
