Position: Senior Data Analyst
Job Location: 702 SW 8th Street, Bentonville, AR 72716
Duties: Analyze and interpret information for one or more initiative work streams to improve business efficiency by using various analytical methodologies; developing creative solutions within business areas that reduce cost and/or meet business goals; using judgment to assign what activities must be done; and ensuring data accuracy. Develop and direct one or more work streams of a cross-functional project to achieve desired results by ensuring understanding of scope of work; organizing timelines and deliverables; facilitating meetings involving project teams to analyze, plan, and implement project initiatives; taking corrective action; and reporting results and deliverables to supervisors and stakeholders. Collaborate cross-functionally on assignments with internal and external stakeholders to understand the results of data analyses and research by communicating results and findings. Develop tools that support decision making and business cases by summarizing needed information; determining what information must be reported; ensuring customer needs are met; and analyzing an initiative's impact to the business. Assume duties of Project Manager III, Innovation in the absence of the Project Manager III, Innovation by attending meetings; working directly with the project team members on specific projects and analyses; performing analyses; providing directional advice and guidance related to defined logistical issues; and determining which issues should be elevated to a higher priority. Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Model compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field plus 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field; OR 4 year of experience in data analytics or related field.
Skills Required: Must have experience with: gathering and analyzing business requirements by collaborating with stakeholders and IT Management, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; providing recommendations to business stakeholders to solve complex business issues; developing SQL views and Stored Procedures to create new data tables for finding insights and telling stories using data; understanding the requirements and identifying suitable data sources; performing data quality checks; creating/optimizing complex queries using bigdata and SQL; developing schedules using Google Big Query to automate data population and maintenance using pipelining techniques; creating data modelling and ETL process using analytical tools like Power BI; creating complex Power BI DAX Queries to meet business requirements to filter the data and create conditional columns and measures; creating cross- filter relationships and maintaining Row Level Security for Embedding Power BI reports for Customers and managing user level access to reports and dashboards using AD groups; building interactive reports and self-service dashboards using Power BI to represent KPI data; scheduling automatic refresh and monitoring refreshes in Power BI service; creating automated workflows between Office 365 apps and services using Power automate to synchronize files, get notifications, and to collect data; using agile project methodology using Jira to track and manage tasks; Data Governance, including maintaining query standards and best practices; and On Demand Reporting, including creating business reports that provide insight into key data points for the leadership team to make important business decisions.
