We are looking for a Senior iOS developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of iOS devices including mobile phones and tablet computers. Your primary focus will be development of iOS applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. About Team:

Marketplace Engineering team is at the forefront of building core platforms and services to enable Walmart to deliver vast selection at competitive prices and with best-in-class customer experience by enabling third-party sellers to the marketplace platform , sell and manage their products to our customers on walmart.com . We do this by managing the entire seller lifecycle, monitoring customer experience, and deliver high- value insights to our sellers to help them plan their assortment, price, inventory. The team also actively collaborates with partner platform teams to ensure we continue to deliver the best experience to our sellers and our customers.



What you'll do:



  • Lead and participates in medium- to large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements, wire frames); writing and developing code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs; interacting with project manager to provide input on project plan; and providing leadership to the project team.

  • Lead the work of other small groups of four to six engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects by proving pertinent documents, direction, and examples; identifying short and long term solutions and timeline; reviewing and providing feedback for proposed solutions; and performing design and code reviews of changes.

  • Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause); engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues; formulating an action plan; performing actions as designated in the plan; interpreting the results to determine further action; performs root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues; and completing online documentation.

  • Provide support to the business by responding to user's questions, concerns, and issues (for example, technical feasibility, implementation strategies); identifying short- and long-term solutions; facilitating resolutions; and leading cross-functional partnership.

  • Lead the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high level design by partnering with the product management, project management, business and user experience teams; and obtaining cross-function approvals.

  • Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.

  • Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

  • Model compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.




What you'll bring:



  • B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. (preferably in Computer Science)


  • Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns.


  • 6+ years of iOS development experience


  • 6+ years of demonstrated end-to-end experience building, testing and shipping commercially available iOS apps

  • Interacting with RESTful JSON APIs

  • Hands-on design & development experience in interfacing with Web services platforms


  • Proficient with Objective-C or Swift


  • Experience with at least one iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, MVVM, VIPER, MVP, etc.


  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services

  • Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards

  • Understanding of Apple's design principles and interface guidelines

  • Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred

  • Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools such as Instruments and Shark, etc.

  • Knack for benchmarking and optimization

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial or SVN

  • Familiarity with continuous integration

  • CI/CD development environments/tools & automation tools

  • Strong hands-on development skills to prototype technical solutions.

  • Strong desire to drive change, and ability to adapt to change quickly.

  • Practitioner of Agile (Scrum) methodology

  • Ability to convert high level design to low level design, estimation of work and participate in program planning & execution.


  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus-building Ability to balance the long-term "big picture" and short-term implications of design decisions.




Additional Qualifications:



  • Experience with mobile (web/native) development


  • Experience in App Profiling (concepts like Rendering performance, battery issues, thread count and memory dumps) • Non-functional Testing: GPU overdraw, Rendering performance, Battery issues, CPU, Thread count, Memory consumptions and leaks, Network data transfer. (Crashes and ANR)


  • Exposure to full stack development

  • Proficient in new and emerging technologies.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
