Designs and specifies project appropriate engineering requirements
Prepares engineering documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, yet with regard to project schedule and budget constraints
Sets up and manages complex Revit models
Performs Revit modeling and detailing
Participate in BIM best practice standards development
Conducts site investigation and observations
Performs cross-discipline discussions and coordination of work for system clash avoidance
Participates with performing construction contract administration. Responsibilities could include: Review of shop drawings and submittals, responding to RFI’s, solving construction issues, performing site visits to assess general conformance with design concept, incorporating agreed upon changes to contract documents
Mentor and encourage the development of junior staff
Attends client meetings and communicates with clients, consultants, contractors, and others during various stages of project development
Travel for project- related activities may be required
10+ years experience, large project experience
Associates Degree from Technical College or 4-year non-engineering degree
General Characteristics
Demonstrated practical knowledge of codes and related industry standards
Production experience preparing deliverable drawing sets in Revit and AutoCAD required
Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency using industry standard calculation software required
Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills
Ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately
