Overview
As an Architect you will perform programming and conceptual design tasks thru preparation of contract documents. Architects are responsible to develop contract documents and orchestrate multidisciplinary team coordination independently as well as sometimes in collaboration with Senior Architect teammates.

Architects work as part of a multi-discipline team performing architectural design during all phases of multiple simultaneous projects. Architects are responsible to develop contract documents and orchestrate multidisciplinary team coordination. Work will be performed with minimal supervision receiving advice and direction from Senior Professionals. Independent judgement is required on work details. Assignments include programming, space planning, design, editing specifications, producing deliverable drawing sets for floor plans, roof plans, building and wall sections, details and schedules.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Designs and specifies project-appropriate architectural requirements
Plans and develops projects of various sizes and works under minimal supervision
Investigates, evaluates, and recommends design solutions, prioritizes work, receives guidance on complex issues
Plans, organizes, and directs the work of designers and other junior professionals
Leads code analysis and coordinates agency, fire marshal, and jurisdictional compliance reviews.
Performs Revit modeling and detailing
Initiates cross-discipline discussions and coordination with multidisciplinary teammates
Assists to direct the work of junior professionals
Conducts site investigations and observations
Attends client meetings and communicates with clients, consultants, contractors, and others during various stages of project development
Prepares narratives, reports, drawing and specification documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, yet with regard to project schedule and budget constraints
Participates in Construction Administration by reviewing shop drawings and submittals, responding to RFI’s, solving construction issues, and performing site visits to assess general conformance with the design concept
Maintains knowledge of current industry trends on space, function, materials, etc.
Assists to mentor and encourage the development of junior professionals
Assists with marketing and business development activities including building relationships with key clients and strategic partners, proposal writing, fee estimates, and client interviews
Travel for marketing and project-related activities will be required
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university
Architecture registration required
6+ years’ experience in the planning, design, and documentation of architecture; significant experience with healthcare projects; expertise in medical planning preferred
Proficiency with computer software including Revit Architecture
Proficiency with Sketch-Up, Rhino, Grasshopper, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
Demonstrated ability to develop and orchestrate full team coordination of contract documents
Demonstrated practical knowledge of codes and related industry standards
Excellent time management and organization skills with the ability to become involved in and remain current on issues relating to a number of concurrent projects in various stages
Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills
Positive attitude and commitment to being an active participant working as part of a multi-discipline team
Active leader and member of varied professional organizations is a plus
