Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $78,500.00 - $96,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)
About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to support the corporate accounting function for the Bank and its subsidiaries. This includes preparing regulatory financial reports as well as internal reports and analysis for senior management. This position is responsible for the accurate application of GAAP for all product lines and operational functions. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual, driven to produce quality work, and enthusiastic about continuous learning within a complex, dynamic industry. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement.
Essential Functions
Prepare sections of the quarterly Call Report which require knowledge of the regulatory rules, Commerce products and reporting capabilities and collaboration with various departments across the bank
Assist in preparation of SEC disclosures by gathering information needed and assess information for accuracy, completeness and verify that it meets the reporting requirements
Determine the proper accounting treatment for unusual and/or complex transactions
Assist in implementing new accounting processes and procedures for new or changing bank products or regulations ensuring information is correctly reported
Monitor general ledger activities for accuracy and completeness, analyze and investigate account fluctuations
Prepare detailed documentation used in review and audit procedures
Perform reconciliations
Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual close processes
Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and ability to apply as needed
Proven ability of analytical and problem-solving skills
Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and complete work with a high degree of accuracy
Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with ability to frequently communicate to senior manager, officers and executives
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
Intermediate to advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
2+ years of public accounting experience with a CPA designation or 3+ years general accounting experience in lieu of
