Position Summary:
The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Research Imaging Center is seeking a Research Instructor to develop innovative research in PET tracer synthesis. The successful candidate will focus on the incorporation of PET imaging radioisotopes, such as (11)C and (18)F, into organic synthesis processes to create novel PET tracers. The developed tracers and methodologies will be utilized in preclinical studies to advance imaging techniques.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
PhD in Medicinal Chemistry, Organic Chemistry or a closely related area.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:
Experience in working PET imaging radioisotopes is preferred. Strong background in organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry is highly preferred.
