In the Department of Communication, we study the ways that communication techniques and technologies shape who we are, how we govern ourselves, and what kinds of cultures we inhabit.
The Stanford Communication Department is searching for a 95% time Sr Data Analyst for the Journalism Program. This position will work under consultative or self-initiated direction to assess and produce relevant, standard, or custom information (reports, charts, graphs and tables) from structured data sources by querying data repositories and generating the associated information. Distribute and disseminate reports to applicable agencies, researchers, management and other internal end-users.
This is a two-year fixed term position with the possibility of renewal. This position will report to the Director of the Journalism Program.

Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience. Experience in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, statistics or engineering

This remote role is open to candidates anywhere in the United States. Stanford University has five Regional Pay Structures. The compensation for this position will be based on the location of the successful candidate. The expected pay range for this position is $ 105,000 to $139,000 per annum. The actual pay will be pro-rated based on the 95% FTE.
