Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery to produce precision parts and tools according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC operations, programming, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Develop and optimize CNC programs to improve efficiency and reduce cycle time.

  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining operations.

  • Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each project.

  • Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet design tolerances and specifications.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CNC equipment, tooling, or processes.

  • Collaborate with design and production teams to improve manufacturability and address technical challenges.

  • Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies to enhance machining processes.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven experience as a CNC Engineer or similar role.

  • Proficiency in CNC programming (e.g., G-code, M-code) and CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks).

  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and cutting tools.

  • Familiarity with quality assurance tools such as calipers, micrometers, and CMMs.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and schematics.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience with multi-axis CNC machines (e.g., 5-axis).

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma certification.

  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
