Real Estate property management company looking to hire Leasing Assistant to join their team
Candidate must be able to conduct leasing activities in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Rent Stabilization and all other laws pertaining to apartments in New York City
Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills
Must have strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Yardi, Docusign, Teams, Zoom)
Must deliver superior customer service and assist current residents and prospective tenants with lease requests.
Must be able to manage activities related to leasing and must have familiarity with regulations and government agencies (Sec 8, SCRIE, DRIE, etc.)
Bilingual, English/Spanish a must
Responsibilities include:
Assist in the processing of rental applications for prospective tenants
Initiate all necessary move in documents
Complete move-in billing for new residents and ensure accuracy of rent charges, security deposit, concessions in accordance with the terms of the executed lease contract
Correspond with current residents and prospective tenants regarding general inquiries and all leasing inquiries via telephone and email in a timely manner
Coordinate move in and move out requests with property managers
Prepare and mail out lease renewal notices in a timely manner using Yardi software
Generate lease expiration reports and monitoring lease expirations
Organize, scan, and file leases and related paperwork in tenant files and check documents for accuracy
Initiate all move out paperwork
Maintain up to date knowledge of vacancies and available units
Prepare and file annual rent registrations with DHCR
