In this role, you will be responsible for supporting genotyping accessioning processes and maintaining laboratory operations. Key responsibilities include:
Accessioning genotyping samples and ensuring the quality and timeliness of work.
Following laboratory procedures for specimen handling, preparation, receipt, and data entry in DPS or LIMS.
Performing daily/weekly/monthly maintenance to ensure proper equipment operation.
Maintaining laboratory supplies and consumables to prevent disruptions.
Documenting batch records accurately and addressing any deviations.
Performing PRG, DDP plate(s), and Embark plate(s) sample send-back processes.
Ensuring safety by applying all relevant protocols and adhering to safety culture standards.
Essential Duties and Job Functions:
Operate and become proficient with automated technologies for genotyping accessioning.
Escalate issues encountered in the lab when appropriate.
Perform basic troubleshooting of lab equipment and report issues to engineering through the ticketing system.
Communicate work-in-progress (WIP) effectively to the next shift.
Prioritize activities and adjust tasks as needed to meet deadlines.
Uphold consistent productivity while transitioning between tasks or areas of work.
Ensure accurate and efficient task execution, maintaining a high level of detail and organization.
