ABOC is hiring a Pension Specialist. This position is responsible for handling the administration for the issuance of periodic, non-periodic benefits as described within the Plan Summary and Collective Bargaining agreement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administration of individual client plans includes obtaining agreements needed for processing e.g. ACH Agreement, Paying Agent Agreement, EFTPS and any special directives.
  • Establishing an account on internal system to define roles of client, money types, fund parameters for processing.
  • Set up new retirees, update synoptic information on participants.
  • Complete batch processing for initiation of payments on scheduled cycles.
  • Remit deductions to Federal Withholding, State Withholding, Medical Payments and other deductions as needed.
  • Prepare monthly reports and forward to clients
  • Reconcile internal system to our Trust system monthly.
  • Prepare Annual required notices for distribution
  • Monthly issuance of Outstanding Check Report and Deceased Participant
  • Attend client meetings
  • Respond to Audit requests for plans
  • Notify Administrator of funding needs
  • Adhere to Internal and Regulatory procedures and policies
  • Attend webinars and conferences upon request regarding Retirement Benefits.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Microsoft 365 Experience
  • FIS (Addvantage) Software Experience
