Job Opportunity: Heavy Civil Superintendent - Dallas, Texas

An experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent is needed to manage large-scale civil construction projects in Dallas, Texas. This role requires expertise in overseeing complex infrastructure projects, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budgets, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage on-site activities for heavy civil construction projects, ensuring alignment with project plans, safety protocols, and quality benchmarks.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to streamline schedules and resource allocation.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Perform site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety, addressing any issues as they arise.
  • Lead and mentor on-site teams, promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and policies.
  • Provide regular updates on project milestones, risks, and progress to stakeholders.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily reports and material records.

Qualifications:
  • At least 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and project management.
  • Demonstrated success managing large infrastructure projects such as highways, bridges, or tunnels.
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills, with acute attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and availability for travel as required.
  • OSHA certification is preferred.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
