The Project Management Lead will oversee and directly manage cross-functional initiatives that deliver value to our members, stakeholders, and global community. This role is essential in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of various types of projects that align with AOM's priority initiatives to support, serve, and strengthen the member experience and operating revenue. The Project Management Lead effectively collaborates with executive leadership, team members, and external partners to support and advance excellent project outcomes
Project Planning & Execution
Define clear and aligned project scopes, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior leadership and stakeholders.
Develop and manage detailed project plans with key tasks, milestones, timelines, and budgets.
Successfully prepare action items/timelines, lead meetings, and regularly update management on project progress and development.
Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to determine needs and solutions for smooth project execution, ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, and budget objectives.
Stakeholder & Resource Management
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and adjustments.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with members, volunteers, and vendors to support project alignment and success.
Effectively allocate and manage operational resources, including human, financial, and technological assets.
Risk Mitigation & Problem Solving
Proactively identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
Optimize monetization projects for
Address and communicate issues as they arise, keeping projects on track and stakeholders informed.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including charters, plans, status reports, and post-project evaluations.
Report project progress, issues, and solutions to leadership as needed.
Continuous Improvement
Conduct analysis through post-project evaluations to assess outcomes and identify areas for improvement, contributing to AOM's culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Provide periodic debrief assessments and success metrics to determine next steps and phases with project owners and stakeholders.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in operations management, business administration, or related field.
Project management certification required (PMP or equivalent).
3-5 years in project management, ideally within a nonprofit or multi-departmental setting where complex projects with multiple stakeholders are managed effectively.
Proven ability to drive projects from initial concept through to successful, concrete execution, demonstrating end-to-end project management expertise.
Experience with Salesforce-based systems (e.g., CRM/Fonteva) preferred.

Hybrid Work Environment and Travel Requirements:
The Academy of Management is located in Valhalla, NY in Westchester County. This position is hybrid and requires 2 working days per week- Wednesdays and Thursdays- in the office.
Periodic domestic and/or international travel may be required, approximately 10% annually. Travel typically includes the use of various methods of transportation (car, plane, rail), depending on the location.
