This role is responsible for developing and leading a diverse team of utility engineering and project management professionals to oversee the electric capital portfolio. The position requires strong leadership, collaboration, and technical skills to support key business and regulatory functions, ensuring the successful planning and execution of capital projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Support all aspects of the Long-Term Outlook for the electric CAPEX investment portfolio, including rate case preparations.
Assist with regulatory inquiries through ISO-NE and NE PUCs, providing updates on project and program statuses.
Collaborate with Investment Planning to develop the electric capital portfolio.
Provide support for financial analysis and estimating during planning activities.
Act as a key liaison between Integrated System Planning (ISP), Investment Planning (IP), and Portfolio Controls teams.
Prepare, review, and edit presentations and reports to communicate decisions to internal and external stakeholders (executives, regulators, ISOs).
Foster constructive relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including regulators.
Track project development to maintain the investment pipeline and ensure smooth handoff between planning and execution teams.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and financial commitments through tracking, reporting, and follow-up activities.
Oversee financial processes, including accounting creation for projects (e.g., WBS, project definitions in Primavera, Unifier, SAP).
Qualifications:
Experience: 5-10 years managing large-scale utility projects and programs.
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Expertise: Minimum five years' experience in one or more relevant areas: substations, T&D, gas-hydro, or OSG.
