HHM Talent is assisting a client search for a Product Engineer Manager for their stove company based out of South Pittsburg, TN.
This position will require you to be on site but does have a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office and 2 days are work from home. Must be local to South Pittsburg, TN.
This position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering.
Job Responsibilities
Works in product design, development, testing and manufacturing to ensure products meet customer requirements and competitive marketplace needs.
Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitor products
Investigates customers' needs or marketplace needs through market research, generating product requirements and required specifications, production viability, and return-on-investment analyses.
Makes product line recommendations through competitive review of product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas.
Works with Compliance to review product viability relative to compliance hurdles (EPA, UL, CSA, ASTM, ANSI, and etc).
Provides source data for product specifications to be communicated to sales and marketing.
Aids in bringing new products to market by establishing agreed upon product requirements, preparing return-on-investment analyses, and establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing.
Evaluates product pricing by utilizing market research data, reviewing production and sales costs and working with Sales/Marketing anticipating volume.
Builds professional and technical knowledge by participating in industry trade shows and meetings.
Works cooperatively in order to help influence existing and future regulation, and provides aid in the development of industry standards and regulations
Review customer feedback and CAP's to help foster continuous product improvement
Travel to suppliers and industry meetings as needed
Prepare and present internal reports with respect to products, project timelines, marketplace research, or continuous improvement opportunities
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in in Engineering
3 years of relevant work experience in Engineering field. Product or project management experience preferred.
Experience using/interacting in CAD software (Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Pro/E, or Equivalent)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with specific interest in Excel
Familiarity with ERP software systems (NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics 365, or Equivalent)
