Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will manage supplier relationships, ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, and work cross-functionally with internal teams to support production goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing, supply chain management, and vendor negotiation, with a focus on driving efficiency and cost savings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the purchasing team to ensure timely procurement of raw materials, packaging, and other necessary supplies
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring reliability and competitive pricing
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to secure favorable terms and cost savings
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts while minimizing excess inventory
  • Collaborate with production and logistics teams to align purchasing with production schedules and demand forecasts
  • Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for process improvement
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from order placement to delivery
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and sustainability goals
  • Report on purchasing performance, including cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory management metrics

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing or food & beverage industries
  • Proven negotiation skills with the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently
  • Experience with procurement software and tools; proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (preferred)
