Road Ranger, a growing multi-state Travel Center company, is seeking a Director of Fuel Supply to join its Fuels Department. The primary responsibility of the Director of Fuel Supply is to lead the organization's supply of petroleum products. This includes the management of relationships and activities related to product sourcing, buying, and transportation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement product sourcing, buying, and transportation strategies that minimize cost and insure against inventory depletion.
Proactively monitor product inventory and prevent product run-outs.
Manage relationships with suppliers and transportation partners, including leading contract negotiations.
Make recommendations to senior leadership about sourcing strategies.
Identify and implement tools to automate sourcing activities.
Research and report to executive leadership regarding market activity.
Liaise with other business functions to identify and deploy best practices-both regionally and within individual business units.
Education and/or Experience:
BS/BA required; with concentration in economics, finance, business, or supply chain; MBA preferred but not required.
Minimum of 5+ years in supply chain, logistics, or a relevant combination of functions with emphasis in petroleum retail or comparable niche field.
