Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC) is a non profit corporation that provides culturally sensitive health care to the American Indian population. OKCIC services not only include basic medical care, but also dental, optometry, behavioral health services, fitness, nutrition and other family programs.

Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is hiring a Director of Facilities to our team! This position will coordinate and directs the repair, maintenance and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities. The Director will consults with senior management regarding construction, renovation and acquisition of additional property and equipment.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Inspects all facilities to evaluate use of space and facilities.
  • Oversees the coordination of building space allocation, layout, and communication services.
  • Determines needs for repairs and maintenance; schedules staff and/or vendors to accomplish repairs and maintenance.
  • Oversees and directs maintenance vendors and custodial employees engaged in equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventive maintenance.
  • Inspects construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specifications.
  • Plans, budgets, and schedules facilities modifications including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts and contracts for construction and acquisitions.
  • Performs audits to support facility planning.
  • Develops long range plans, conceptual designs, and capital outlay requirements for facilities.
  • Formulates and coordinates specifications and requirements for proposals, contracts, and associated documents.
  • Acts as liaison to public utility, environmental, and energy agencies.
  • Oversees and coordinates yearly equipment audits.
  • Oversees supply ordering to ensure adequate supplies for Facilities staff.
  • Oversees maintenance of clinic-owned and GSA vehicles, including gas, scheduled maintenance, etc

Requirements:
  • Must align with OKCIC vision, mission and core values.
  • Due to the safety-sensitive nature of this position, medical marijuana license holders who test positive for marijuana will not be qualified for this position
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline or 5 years of equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience within a healthcare organization or healthcare system setting.
  • Relevant major construction and facility maintenance experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Proven experience with fiscal planning.
  • Systematic solid problem-solving skills, ability to work cross-functionally with the ability to build consensus.
  • Must be knowledgeable of HVAC boilers, compressors, generators, and mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and plumbing systems.
  • Must be knowledgeable of building codes, safety regulations and blueprint interpretation.
  • Must be knowledgeable of TJC standards.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Quality improvement or operations training.
  • Must have valid OK state driver's license.
  • Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certification preferred
