The Corporate Supply Chain Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Manager - Supply Chain Information Services - ERP.
The Manager - Supply Chain Information Services - ERP manages and coordinates multiple projects and team initiatives involving corporate SCO/IS and field resources. Manages the implementation and support of UHS ERP clinical applications. Manages all aspects of projects assigned from preparing project schedules and estimates through final implementation. Leads overall Supply chain functional/technical architecture and design of ERP solutions (Workday), including module configuration, integrations, and data migration strategies. Oversees the development of integrations, including coding, using Workday's provided tools (such as Workday Studio, Cloud Connect, EIBs, and Web Services). Responsible for conducting data discovery, analysis, loading and profiling of data to validate business requirements and provide inputs into technical and functional design while serving as domain expert in Supply Chain business area. Serves as a subject matter expert on ERP modules, including Supply Chain, Contracting, Procurement and Inventory Management and other functional areas. Provides insights on the current technical architecture and identify any gaps that need to be addressed or updated in the future Workday solution design. Designs the overall Supply chain integration architecture (including third party applications) specifying the integration patterns, methods, and protocols. Troubleshoots, fixes issues with integration, data loads and data conversions in ERP Platform and other issues within a data warehouse and explore new ways to present data insights to end users within a project. Responsible for managing large scale solution commitments to business stakeholders and help develop and maintain the structure of the reporting environment. Experience in technical role related to Supply Chain or ERP cloud system implementations. Analytical ability to solve both business and technical problems. Shares experience and expertise by mentoring other members of team. Exercises operational responsibility for supervision, performance evaluation and direction of team.
Solution Development and Design:
Ensure all the work activities associated with the Supply Chain system design, build, testing, and implementation of the Workday technical solution are correctly documented, audited and signed-off.
Supervises a team that Performs Q/A on application functionality. Follows established, change control, release management and incident management processes while developing solutions and deploying standard reports and dashboards.
Responsible for conducting data discovery, analysis, and profiling of data to validate business requirements and provide inputs into technical design while serving as domain expert in Supply Chain and other related business areas.
Manage the development of architecture artefacts including current state architecture, target state architecture, reference architecture patterns and technology standards.
Works collaboratively with the team leadership and other members of the team to perform required project tasks with minimal supervision. Oversees employees who educate the end users in operating procedures for application.
Provide technical governance and guidance to 3rd Party and implementation partner teams to ensure alignment of the developed solution to the overall ERP solution design. Provide insights on the current technical architecture and identify any gaps that need to be addressed or updated in the ERP cloud solution design.
Serves as Technical/Functional lead for medium to large sized projects. Provides guidance to less experienced staff.
Participate in business requirements, design phase of the Project and thereafter develop workflows, system configurations, support testing and change documentation on new application functionality for Workday processes. Work with vendors for overseeing the development hours.
Solution Maintenance and Support:
Ensures that data is available to decision makers through the created reports and dashboards, as well as self-service methods.
Interfaces with the end user community regarding data model design and support. Treats every person requesting services from the team as a valued customer, both internal and external.
Provides technical guidance to business ad-hoc report developers on appropriate usage of the data tools.
Stays current with the needs and operations of the enterprise; provides recommendations on current design gaps and suggests opportunities to improve reporting and ERP solutions.
Remains technically fluent with new and existing tools, process and development techniques.
Provides support as needed for software patches and upgrades across all existing Supply chain applications.
Knowledge of maintenance or enhancement issues assigned by the UHS Customer Support Center.
Participates in user group forums and knowledge transfer sessions.
Performs other project duties as assigned.
Administration and Oversight:
Provides technical support, assistance and guidance to other team members as required.
Keeps management well informed of activities, needs, problems. Interviews applicants for vacant positions as needed using appropriate interview techniques.
Tracks on-going work items using work management tools. Effectively trains analysts in performance of their duties as required. Completes performance evaluations of direct reports as needed.
Position Requirements:
Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree required in Supply Chain, IT or related field of study preferred.
Supervision, direction and performance management of direct reports experience.
5+ years of SQL programming and working with relational database experience including:
Stored procedure development to support reporting or data warehouse initiatives
Performance tuning (SQL code and database architecture)
5+ years of experience developing solutions within cloud ERP platform preferably in Workday.
Experience in technical roles related to Supply Chain or ERP cloud system implementations.
Experience with various ERP solutions and serves as a subject matter technical expert across modules providing system, process, and problem resolution expertise.
Comprehensive working knowledge in the ERP cloud implementation project providing any support needed in the development, implementation and troubleshooting process of the ERP solution and work with Supply Chain IS team on any potential customization, integration, data reconciliation/migration, reporting etc.
General familiarity of user business practices, concepts and terminology sufficient to support of the application.
Experience working with cloud-based systems leading the technical design and implementation.
Proven analytical ability to solve complex business and technical problems.
Expertise with relational database concepts, data warehousing and extract transform and load (ETL) concepts.
IT experience in Supply Chain space.
Ability to maintain professional attitude and performance, focusing on accountability and results attainment.
Focus on Supply Chain Operations and related modules including Master data management, Workday Strategic Sourcing, Inventory management, Procurement.
Displays an eagerness to continually improve skills and learn new technologies.
