We are seeking a well-qualified candidate to perform as a Security Governance & Compliance Specialist at our Research Triangle Park, NC facility. The candidate will serve as a security focal point for addressing industrial and personnel security-related matters, with an emphasis on problem-solving and customer interaction. The candidate will assist the FSO/CSSO team in the development, implementation, updating, and monitoring of corporate security policies, the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), and other regulations.
Responsibilities:
Mitigate security risks across the organization by assisting the FSO and Government Security Services (GSS) team in implementing and maintaining a highly effective industrial security program in adherence to U.S. government and company policies and regulations.
Develop, evaluate, and implement compliance and monitoring activities, including adherence to Standardized Practice and Procedures (SPP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), DD254, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) implementation.
Assist with facility, personnel, and physical security measures to ensure that business units build, operate, and deliver secure products and services that meet company and U.S. government customer, regulatory, security, and privacy expectations.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to adopt and adapt security policies and processes, including citizenship validation and conducting briefings for restricted access areas.
Perform physical escorting duties for personnel needing access to controlled areas.
Safeguard classified information and conduct briefings for protecting, transmitting, and storing national security information in accordance with applicable security requirements. Assist with device, electronic media, document control, and inventory management.
Assist with security assessments, self-inspections, and vulnerability testing. Prepare reports and audit records; perform data reconciliation related to security assessments ensuring adherence to federal and local codes and regulations.
Assist with administrative inquiries concerning adverse information and security incidents in line with company and government regulations.
Demonstrate a solid grasp of 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM, SEAD-3, and knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICD).
Exhibit working knowledge of DISS, NBIS, eAPP, SWFT, NISS, ACCS. Knowledge of Access Control Systems (ACS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and classified computing is preferred.
Possess a high degree of organizational and people skills, both written and verbal.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience (1+ years).
U.S. citizen with a minimum of Top Secret security clearance. SCI-eligibility with CIPG or FSPG preferred.
Prefer applicants who have completed the FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities through CDSE.
