Nidec Mobility America Corporation(NMOA) is looking for an energetic and focused Facilities Manager within our 'on site' electronics manufacturing work environment (St. Charles, IL).
NMOA (St. Charles, IL), headquarters our family of Companies with facilities in the USA, Canada, Germany and Mexico (with our Sales Team based in Detroit Metro).
As a world leader in sensing and control technology, we control the most discrete functions within an automobile - from seat switches, power window switches, and instrument panel controls, towards complex user interfaces. NMOA is directly involved with automotive OEM's and holds a leadership position within Nidec for product development with global vehicle makers.
Objective
The Facilities Manager is responsible for 'Hands On Management", managing design, planning, construction and maintenance of buildings and other facilities. The position plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor materials and other related costs.
Essential Responsibilities
? Actively Oversee / Coordinate / Drive building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facility expansion.
? Plan budgets / Schedules facility modifications, including cost estimates.
? Utilize software including: Maintenance Connection(Work Orders); Microsoft Project (large Project Management) AutoCad15 (layout modification) in the performance of Facilities leadership activities.
? Project as 'Lead' for all facility contracting / construction / installation processes, ensuring communication to / training of Contractors, guests to the Facility.
? Review/Inspect construction / installation progress, and be the final sign-off for project completion.
? Actively supervise various contracting crews, including Janitors and Building Maintenance personnel for 3Q6S and Safe work requirements.
? Responsible for the facilities and grounds security systems, access systems and security monitoring programs/devices.
? Manage preventive maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC / Compressors.
? Manage telecommunication function (land line system).
? Oversee daily, monthly, quarterly, annual cleaning and maintenance of facility.
? Provide recommendations for improvements in management systems, operations, equipment, facilities, and processes.
? Develop / Administer annual budget.
? Manage / Drive LO/TO, Hot Works, Blood-borne Pathogen Clean-up Programs and collaborate and continually with the EHS Department to resolve known safety / hazard issues.
? Ensure compliance to OSHA regulations.
? Adhere to all Company Policies, ISO9001 / IATF16949 registration requirements; and acts as the Facilities' SME / Leader.
? Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above.
Experience: 3+ years' supervisor experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Certifications: HVAC, Compressors, Electrical, LO/TO, OSHA 30 Hour Training
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
? High mechanical, electrical and equipment ability proficiency and/or ability to manage resources to effectively problem-solve, troubleshoot and address facilities' equipment / building issues and/or facilities' design.
? Strong proficiency using CMMS Maintenance and PM Software(Maintenance Connection); Microsoft Project (large Project Management); AutoCad15 (Layout creation / modification)
? Strong analytical and organizational skills.
