We have partnered with a leading distributor of Oil and Gas products to hire a Materials Manager for their corporate location in Lewisville, Texas.
Summary:
The Materials Manager will be responsible for, where required, establishing leading inventory management and optimization processes. The ideal candidate will have an enterprising spirit where they will work with Business Unit Managers seeking methods to increase sales and gross margin through strategic stocking programs. The successful candidate must adapt well to a changing work environment by working well with others and, when needed, thrive through self-direction. This position will be expected to lead changes in processes and drive consistent execution of those processes across multiple locations and business units. Up to 25-40% travel will be required.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and monitor corporate inventory standards.
Optimize inventory through analysis and forecasting
Monthly Inventory Reports
Lead Monthly S&OP meetings with each (4) Business Unit
Heavily collaborate with business unit managers to optimize inventory levels
Support and monitor inventory related BU Initiatives for margin uplift
Cycle Count Ownership
Owner of Bounty Program
Managing Dead and Surplus materials through innovative techniques and ideas.
Establish standardized material setup requirements (own the material master)
Comfortable operating in a self-directed environment
Strong troubleshooting skills
Strong Microsoft Excel Skills
Champion of Change
Thirst for learning and expanding knowledge.
Ensure Cycle Counts are performed per corporate guidelines at all locations.
Develop into SAP Power User
Implement and train on developed processes and procedures.
Travel as needed for training, meetings, or additional support.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, or similar preferred
Experience with SAP ERP system for Inventory Management and purchasing
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Personnel Management Experience
Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
Self-motivated and able to thrive without direction from supervisor
Ability to succeed in high pressure situations without showing signs of frustration or getting upset
Good organizational skills and willingness to complete required paperwork
