Job Responsibilities:
Performs business analysis using various techniques, e.g. statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, data mining.
Determines best practices and develops actionable insights and recommendations for the current business operations.
Works directly with the internal or external client to identify analytical requirements.
May help to produce ad hoc data and reports.
May assist in implementing or developing systems to capture business operation information.
May occasionally guide less experienced business data analysts
Skills:
Advanced Proficiency with SQL to perform data acquisition, analysis, segmentation, and aggregation from scratch from existing data sources
Experience with BI/visualization packages such as Tableau, Qliksense, Qlikview, Excel, Google Sheets
Proficiency in using spreadsheets (Excel, GSheets) to build business decision models and scenario planning calculators
Ability to pull and manipulate data including building ETL/data pipelines to support analytics use cases with advanced SQL and data warehousing knowledge
Strong track record of performing data analysis and modeling using Python (for its rich suite of statistical and modeling libraries like numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, etc.) and SQL
Quick learner, adaptable, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Experience using statistics and machine learning to solve complex business problems within go-to-market and marketing areas, e.g., propensity for feature adoption, customer health scoring to identify customers at risk to cancel, next best action models etc.
Familiarity with Linux/OS X command line, version control software (git), and general software development
