Connor & Gallagher OneSource (CGO) is excited to announce the expansion of our internal Benefits Account Management team in early 2025! We are proactively seeking experienced and specialized brokerage and insurance professionals with experience managing group healthcare accounts to join our growing organization as Benefits Account Managers.

As an Benefits Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing key client relationships, overseeing benefits renewals, and ensuring the seamless daily operations of group insurance programs. You will collaborate closely with Producers, Account Executives, and CSR teams to support marketing efforts, renewals, and open enrollment processes.

Essential Functions of the Benefits Account Manager:
Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as their go-to resource for all insurance-related inquiries.
Client Support: Respond to client inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, claims, and billing in a timely and professional manner via email and phone.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with internal sub-departments (analytics, technology, wellness, Ben Admin/COBRA) to ensure client needs are met efficiently and effectively.
Marketing and Renewal Process Management: Oversee the marketing process by sending RFPs, organizing carrier responses and follow-ups, entering renewal options into workbooks, and collaborating with team members to strategize and recommend appropriate solutions.
Client Meeting Facilitation: Organize and present at both employer and employee meetings, in-person and virtually, to ensure clarity and understanding of benefit options and updates.
Client Communications: Prepare communications such as client presentations and coordinate with carriers and vendors to meet client expectations and requirements.
Open Enrollment Preparation: Generate and distribute open enrollment materials, including enrollment guides, election forms, presentations, and other key resources.
Compliance Assurance: Ensure clients comply with all local and federal requirements, including managing annual notices, reporting, and regulatory obligations.
Data Reporting: Provide monthly reports for data-driven clients, offering insights to support informed decision-making.
Additional Responsibilities: Assist the Account Executive with other tasks as needed to ensure client satisfaction and successful program management.
Required Education and Experience:
Must hold a current Illinois Life, Accident & Health Insurance License or be able to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in group insurance, preferably within a brokerage firm.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong understanding of employee benefits and the insurance industry, with experience managing group insurance programs.
Proficient in internet-based applications and MS Office Suite, with specific expertise in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Proficiency in Applied Epic is preferred but not required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and bending. The employee rarely lifts and/or moves items over 20 pounds.
