The Battery Management System (BMS) Pack Validation Engineer Engineer is responsible for software validation on a pack level, with a specific focus on State of Health, Performance and Conformance. This engineer will work with battery management system (BMS) hardware and software for use in electrified vehicle powertrains. Responsibilities include: set up and commissioning of battery pack on HV test bench, developing and executing test plans to meet program deliverables, navigating system level issues and performing troubleshooting/data analysis with appropriate stakeholders to properly progress. The engineer will work closely with the cross functional team to support program development and verification milestones in order to launch the product. Support meetings and carefully coordinate test plans with high efficiency and effectiveness to navigate timing compression. Support report-out of validation progress at vehicle gates, escalating support if needed.
Basic Qualifications:
BSME, BSEE, BSCE - Minimum 1-3 year experience
Understanding of Energy Storage Systems and Vehicle Electrification
Good Analytical and Problem Solving Skills - Familiar electrification architectures including EV, HEV, PHEV and BSG systems
Highly Motivated with Self Motivation
DVP&R and DFMEA Basic Understanding
Demonstrated Ability to Work in a Team Environment
Preferred Qualifications:
MSME or MSEE
3 Years of vehicle electrification engineering experience
Advanced automotive battery design and testing experience
Electrification integration or system validation
Proficiency with CAN Communication, VECTOR tools, Canalyzer/Canoe and ETAS INCA
Experience in Propulsion component dyno testing and automation
