CFCU Community Credit Union (CFCU) is seeking an experienced and driven Business Intelligence Analyst who will report to Business Intelligence Manager. The Business Intelligence Analyst will ensure data-driven insights are accessible and actionable by supporting the credit union in developing reports through our data warehouse platform and providing key performance indicators to enhance decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and drive strategic initiatives. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and visualizing data to identify trends, performance metrics, and areas for improvement. In addition to collaborating with departments such as finance, lending, marketing, and compliance to understand their data needs, the BI Analyst will also be responsible for data mapping documents to all systems to deliver electronic signature services in-branch and remotely.
Responsibilities:
Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets from multiple data sources and our data warehouse, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
Develop reports, dashboards and visualizations using Tableau to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
Develop, document, support, schedule and deliver customized reports from the core database and other sources. Utilize available SQL report writing tools such as CRMBI to deliver these reports.
Collaborate with business units and SMEs to identify key business questions and reporting needs that can be used for decision making.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data queries and reports.
Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making across departments like lending, marketing, finance, compliance, and audit.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of BI reports to ensure clarity and ease of use for future users and stakeholders.
Assist in development and enforcement of data governance policies and data quality rules.
Design and maintain automated reporting processes, reducing manual effort and increasing efficiency.
Create documents in Forms Designer and import existing PDF documents for data mapping to deliver in-branch and remote signature capabilities. Add objects to forms in Java Code Generator. Utilize Expression Builder.
Stay informed on predictive analysis techniques and support future implementation through integration with our data warehouse platform as needed.
Perform other duties, tasks, or special assignments as needed.
Desired Skills & Experience:
A minimum of two to four years of similar or related experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
Strong experience with SQL report writing and visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or comparable business intelligence tools.
Experience with an enterprise data warehousing and database platforms such as Oracle, DB2, Snowflake, SQL Server, Azure.
Familiarity with data governance principles.
Proven experience interpreting data trends and patterns in complex data sets.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
Demonstrated ability to bridge business and technical domains skillfully.
Self-starter.
Prior credit union/financial institution experience is a plus.
Experience with financial institution core systems (e.g., Fiserv DNA) is a plus.
Java scripting experiencing is a plus.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of database theory and practice, database structures, query languages, and concepts.
Strong critical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
