Key Responsibilities:
Category Analysis:Conduct in-depth analysis of category performance, including sales trends, market share, and profitability metrics.
Identify growth opportunities and potential risks within the category.
Analyze consumer behavior, preferences, and purchase patterns to inform strategic decisions.
Data Analysis and Reporting:Utilize data mining techniques and statistical analysis to extract valuable insights.
Develop comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings to key stakeholders.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track category performance against established goals.
Category Management:Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, operations) to develop and implement effective category strategies.
Optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotion strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to identify opportunities and threats.
Forecasting and Planning:Develop accurate sales forecasts and demand plans to support inventory management and supply chain operations.
Analyze historical data and market trends to predict future demand.
Project Management:Lead and manage category-related projects, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in category management, market research, or a similar role within the food and beverage industry.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).
Experience with retail sales data and syndicated data sources (e.g., Nielsen, IRI).
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
