We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist to join our team and support our procurement operations.

Job Summary:

The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, components, and services necessary for production. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective procurement that aligns with our production schedules and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Purchase Orders: Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement strategies.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that purchased materials meet company standards and specifications.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, supplier agreements, and inventory transactions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and logistics teams to forecast material needs and resolve any procurement issues.
  • Reporting: Generate reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and inventory status for management review.
  • Maintain accurate pricing and materials specifications in the inventory system, including contractual prices to be updated on a schedule.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in an ERP System (prefer PACE)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Salary range: 60K-65K
