The purpose of this position is to ensure accurate and timely releasing of material requirements to suppliers to meet production schedules and provide planning systems support and enhancements of all related Material Control system issues.
Job Summary:
Maintain proper levels of MP raw material inventory
Negotiate the delivery date, follow up on the past due orders and manage Supplier Performance
Resolve possible shortage of components to avoid production interruptions while minimizing the expedited freight cost.
Manage Design Change and Built Out timing to minimize excess inventory
Enter the packing slips into the receiving software
Other duties assigned as Assigned by the Department Manager
Qualifications:

Proven ability to make sound business decisions, exercise good judgment, and be highly motivated
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy
Maintains clean and orderly work environment
Interacts with various levels of associates
Maintains knowledge of all processes, procedures, and equipment
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization and supply chain
Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions and technical terminology
Ability to handle multiple functions
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 3 years in a Manufacturing environment
Proven working experience collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends.
Strong analytical skills, self-directed, and task oriented.
Effective communication skills (Listening, Verbal, Written and Presentation), with the ability to maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external customers.
Knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office software.
Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
2-year College Degree in Business, Purchasing, or Related Field
Minimum of 10 years' experience in Materials Planning, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Receiving or Warehousing within the electronics industry.
Fluency in English and Japanese
Experience in managing new product development process.
CPIM (APICS Certification)
