As the Digital Print and Mailing Manager, you will oversee the efficient and accurate processing of print orders for our digital print and mailing department including business-to-business (B2B) and direct-to-consumer (D2C) customers mailings. This role will report to the Site Director, supervise a team of production workers, and ensure the assigned teams maintain quality standards, optimize processes, and overall foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing daily operations of the digital print and mailing department
Managing and leading a team of print, bindery and mailing technicians
Ensuring timely and high-quality production of printed materials
Work closely with client services on job instructions and schedules
Review job tickets and schedules to staff labor accordingly
Developing and implementing efficient workflows
Managing budgets and controlling costs
Maintaining and troubleshooting equipment
Ensuring customer satisfaction and handling client inquiries
Create a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and employee development
Implement and enforce quality control measures to meet or exceed product specifications
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and take corrective actions as needed to address quality issues
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices
Ensure accurate time management practices are followed and kept daily
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
3-5 years previous experience in digital print and mailing industry is required
Proven experience in a management role within a digital print and mailing shop environment is required
Knowledge of commercial cut sheet digital printers, bindery equipment and swing arm mail inserting equipment preferred
High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus
Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures
Highly organized with strong time management abilities and excellent attention to detail
Excellent verbal, and written communication and motivational skills
Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Proficiency in using computer software and applications related to layout and Design
Able to lift to 50 lbs.
