HVAC Service and Install Manager This critical leadership role will oversee the growth and health of our HVAC division, focusing on recruiting, training, supervising, and coaching technicians. The ideal candidate will lead by example, willing to go to the jobsite to help technicians solve problems and develop customer opportunities, and will also help foster a culture of excellence and strong relationships both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of HVAC technicians to uphold our values and deliver exceptional customer experiences
Foster a collaborative, supportive environment that encourages growth, open communication, and professional success
Develop and implement ongoing training programs to enhance technical expertise and customer service skills.
Promote a culture of teamwork, demonstrating the value of strong relationships within the organization.
Develop and execute strategic plans to grow installations, service offerings, and memberships
Collaborate with other departments to align HVAC initiatives with company goals
Maintain high standards that create raving fans among customers
Implement operational protocols to optimize system performance, reduce callbacks, and improve efficiency
Conduct regular quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Build and maintain strong relationships with HVAC equipment suppliers, contractors, and service providers through trust, respect, and consistent follow-through
Partner with clients to understand their needs and deliver solutions that exceed expectations
Ensure full compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements related to HVAC operations
Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability across the team
Develop and manage departmental budgets to ensure cost-effective use of resources
Monitor market trends to maintain competitive pricing while protecting margins
Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable pricing and terms
Requirements:
Proven experience in a residential HVAC service or installation management role, with a strong commitment to: Excellence, Integrity, and Relationship-building
Deep technical knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and best practices for service and installation
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and empower diverse teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging effectively across all levels of the organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and service platforms like ServiceTitan (or similar)
HVAC certification or licensing preferred
