The Well In Mind Employee Assistance Therapist is a skilled professional practitioner with competence in the role of clinician, educator, liaison and resource person. Establishes goals and priorities in accordance with patient and staff needs and organizational objectives. Has the ethical and professional obligation to provide patients with the best of care possible within the limits of the program parameters.
Experience/Education Requirements:
Masters Degree in counseling or social work or related field
Minimum 2 years clinical experience.
Demonstrates familiarity with short-term crisis intervention, understanding of individual and group psychotherapy, family intervention, workplace performance and workplace dynamics.
Possess broad understanding of various theoretical perspectives in evaluation patient/staff needs and responses.
License or Certification Requirements:
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Responsibilities:
Assumes responsibility for own clinical competency and continued education
Collaborates with healthcare team to include HR and Department Managers regarding specific needs.
Collaborates with Human Resources and organizational management when notified of mandatory EAP referrals.
Develops and implements teaching programs and communication plans in coordination with employee Wellness initiatives.
Develops methods of assessments, treatments and referrals and delivers care in a systematic manner.
Therapist maintains confidentiality according to regulations and organizational expectations, and does not share information without the client's written consent.
Functions in the role of clinician, educator, liaison and resource person.
Identifies agencies / community corporations and makes outside referrals appropriately
Maintains statistical data to identify utilization, trends and opportunities for teaching and training.
