What will you do at BIP.Monticello:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Commercial Investigator to support our clients' AML initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in AML investigations or research, with a proven ability to identify risks and red flags in various sectors, including casinos, money services businesses (MSBs), precious metals, and financial institutions (both domestic and foreign).
Conduct thorough investigations into potential AML violations, analyzing complex data and identifying suspicious activities related to high-risk entities.
Evaluate and interpret financial transactions, operational practices, and client due diligence documentation to assess risk levels.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement AML policies, procedures, and practices.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to clients based on investigation findings.
Stay updated on industry regulations, trends, and emerging threats related to AML compliance.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing investigation results and risk assessments.
Engage with clients to understand their specific needs and provide expertise to enhance their AML frameworks.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in Finance, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field.
2-4 years of experience in commercial investigations, with a focus on Anti-Money Laundering or financial crime investigations.
Strong understanding of AML regulations, compliance requirements, and risk assessment methodologies.
Experience with high-risk industries, including casinos, MSBs, precious metals, and financial institutions, is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns, risks, and red flags.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
Proficiency in using investigative tools and software to analyze financial data and conduct research.
**The base salary range for this role is $60,000-$125,000**
