This successful candidate will be DIRECTLY involved in projects and facilitating communication, not merely guiding. A strong candidate will have implemented software in an entrepreneurial environment with a base of expertise (IT preferred, business process, etc.) in an ERP environment for not only ERP systems but also systems that integrate with other Company applications (SYSPRO, Unipoint, Salesforce, Zendesk, etc.). This candidate will also have a dual role of helping with company IT issues as a contact/point of expertise and knowledge to outside providers (but will not be the 'internal IT' person).
This role will: • Help to identify, plan, and work with project owners on IT and related projects across all Company disciplines and departments. • Work directly on projects with the project team. • Chair project planning and status meetings. • Serve as the principal contact for outside IT professionals.
Major Responsibilities: • Understand the Company's processes to optimize the use of integrated and non-integrated software systems. • Work with key stakeholders to identify and prioritize company needs. • Initiate the planning process, clearly defining scope, goals, and objectives. • Develop detailed project plans outlining tasks, resources, timelines, and deliverables, creating a solid foundation for project execution. • Write Project Briefs, Feasibility Analysis, and Process Mapping for new systems. • Coordinate with Project Owners on specific integrations to ensure timely result. • Direct project teams by promoting collaboration, resolving conflicts, meeting deadlines, and leading effective and efficient team meetings. • Maintain open and transparent communication with key stakeholders.
Project Examples: • Expansion of MRP and other ERP system applications/modules. • Integration of disparate sales, marketing, and quality control tools. • Enhancement of Shopify/SYSPRO ERP and integration applications. • Additional company initiatives to facilitate growth.
Reporting Relationships: • Reports to the CEO and secondarily to the Controller. • Works routinely with all department managers. • Actively collaborates and interacts internally across multiple departments and outside professionals.
Qualifications: • A 4-year business degree with an emphasis in IT (preferred) and/or accounting or finance. • 5 years of demonstrated IT / software integration / project management implementation experience. • Hands-on experience with integrated ERP. • Excellent skills in Microsoft applications. • Experience working for a manufacturing company. • Ability to communicate effectively: listening, presenting, writing, speaking. • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. • A quick thinker-can get to the core issues quickly and discuss meaningfully with others. • Ability to understand and maneuver among information sources/systems. • Strong organizational skills and follow-up with attention to detail. • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities. • Proven ability to work effectively with people at all levels in a team environment.
