Quality Requirements: Must learn and follow all quality requirements in accordance with policy standards. Responsible for the monitoring, qualification, and training of employees which also includes API, ASME, ISO-9000-1, or any other applicable standards, procedures, and work instructions
Management Requirements: When required, special projects/tasks assigned by the Director of Operations or QA/QC Manager must be treated as a priority and completed in a professional manner. Must have strong leadership capabilities and solid decision-making skills. Communication skills are required.
General Requirements: Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule. Above all must be a team player with a high level of dedication.
Education and Experience:
This position requires a high school education or equivalent.
Must have 5 years of Quality Assurance/Quality Control management system maintenance, experience with document control. Strong problem-solving skills required.
Assures the quality of all materials, structures, components of all types of pressure vessels, tanks, and any other product lines fabricated is maintained throughout the production process.
Verifies that all product lines fabricated comply with all relevant quality standards and regulations put into place (i.e. CWI, etc.).
Verifies materials, parts and final products through independent checks and inspections with QC Inspector.
Assists in defining a QA/QC program that meets the full scope of all regulatory requirements.
Assists QA/QC Manager with organization of QA/QC training courses.
Responsible for organizing and maintaining a record retention system.
Assists QA/QC Manager with any clerical projects.
Assists the QA/QC Manager in preparing, tracking, maintaining, copying and distribution of various quality reports, logs, records, and databases, and with implementation of the Quality Management System
Registers all Utilities Division products with the national regulatory agency through our authorized Inspector with the third-party inspection company.
With the assistance of the QA Inspector and Manager, and Purchasing Manager, assures that all material received is accompanied with adequate Mill Test Reports.
Handles heavily task-oriented document processing quickly and efficiently as project timelines are often impacted in a hectic job shop environment.
Manages work within the electronic document systems, maintains a variety of records, and enters and updates data in various databases.
Monitors updates with CWI and oversees all processes involved, including audits.
Provides oversight on compliance and assists with overseeing issues.
