You will report directly to the President and oversee an established accounting and finance team that is highly regarded within the company for its deep industry knowledge and teamwork. As Finance Manager, you'll oversee all financial operations within the company, including banking functions, month-end and year-end closing procedures, budget management, financial reporting, and act as a key point of contact for CPAs, banking institutions, and insurance brokers.

A day in the life:
Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
Assist in tax preparation in collaboration with the CPA.
Perform general ledger analysis, closure of journal entries, and reconcile company expenses.
Prepare monthly and annual financial reviews to present to management.
Provide monthly bank reports.
Manage and guide the accounting and payroll team on all matters for AR, AP, Payroll, and invoices.
Manage banking and cash management including signing checks, ACH transfers, cash advances from line of credit and repayment line of credit.
Create and manage annual sales budgets by the end of January.
Present monthly sales and budget reports for company quarterly business meetings.
Collaborate with department heads on budget forecasting and adjustments.
Manage all business policies including General Liability, EPL, Auto, and Life Insurance.
Oversee maintenance and renewal of cargo and workers compensation insurance.
Oversee 401(k) plan administration, ensuring semi-monthly payroll contributions are processed within five days of payroll.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
5+ years of experience in financial management or CPA work, preferably in a mind-sized or larger company.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proficiency in financial software and tools, knowledge on Rippling is a plus.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP compliance.
Experience managing banking relationships and business insurance needs.
Excellent leadership skills and experience managing finance teams.
Compensation and Benefits: $100-$110K/YR with healthcare benefits, 401k plan with a 3% match, long term disability coverage, life insurance, vacation and sick time, company profit share, and several holidays.
