Volta Oil is searching for a Financial Planning, Analysis and Accounting Specialist (FPAA Specialist) to be a strategic problem-solver with the ability to prioritize financial deliverables, anticipate financial challenges, and find opportunities for financial growth and success.

What will you do?

The FPAA Specialist will play a critical role in the company's financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes. This position combines traditional FP&A functions with key accounting responsibilities, including general ledger management, month-end close activities, and financial reporting. This role will collaborate with key stakeholders and will routinely work with other departments in financial training, process improvement/development and financial analytic support roles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis as well as a solid understanding of accounting principles, enabling them to bridge the gap between operational and financial performance.

Qualified Candidates for this position have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Management.
  • 5+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role, with a strong focus on financial planning and/or analysis, preferably in Retail/Wholesale industry.
  • Proven experience working with financial reporting systems, forecasting models, and variance analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proficient in accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS) and month-end close processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for presenting financial data.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced, growing company or industry is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of business operations and how financial results are impacted by various business decisions.
