Volta Oil is searching for a Financial Planning, Analysis and Accounting Specialist (FPAA Specialist) to be a strategic problem-solver with the ability to prioritize financial deliverables, anticipate financial challenges, and find opportunities for financial growth and success.

What will you do?
The FPAA Specialist will play a critical role in the company's financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes. This position combines traditional FP&A functions with key accounting responsibilities, including general ledger management, month-end close activities, and financial reporting. This role will collaborate with key stakeholders and will routinely work with other departments in financial training, process improvement/development and financial analytic support roles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis as well as a solid understanding of accounting principles, enabling them to bridge the gap between operational and financial performance.
Qualified Candidates for this position have:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Management.
5+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role, with a strong focus on financial planning and/or analysis, preferably in Retail/Wholesale industry.
Proven experience working with financial reporting systems, forecasting models, and variance analysis.
Strong knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
Proficient in accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS) and month-end close processes.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software.
Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for presenting financial data.
Previous experience working in a fast-paced, growing company or industry is a plus.
Strong understanding of business operations and how financial results are impacted by various business decisions.
