Job Description:

The client is a well-funded growth mode DG developer led by a seasoned team with previous success building and scaling a renewables company.

They're looking for a Finance Associate to join the team. This role will involve developing and maintaining complex financial models, supporting project finance and M&A transactions, engaging with investors, and working across multiple internal teams to drive financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Modeling: Develop, maintain, and refine financial models integrating tax equity, debt, and equity structures, ensuring they align with changing regulatory, project, and corporate assumptions.
  • Corporate Finance Support: Assist in corporate finance functions, including cash flow management, financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning. Provide insights for optimizing capital structure and corporate financial performance.
  • Investment Committee Materials: Prepare and present detailed investment committee materials to inform decision-making for renewable energy projects, M&A transactions, and corporate financing strategies.
  • Project Finance & M&A Transactions: Support project finance and M&A transactions by managing financial due diligence, preparing financial analysis, and structuring deals to align with corporate and investor objectives.
  • Investor Relations: Engage with current and potential investors, providing them with detailed financial updates, performance reports, and strategic insights. Assist in the preparation of investor communications, including presentations, quarterly reports, and fundraising materials.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in renewable energy project finance, corporate finance, or investor relations, with a strong foundation in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting. Experience with tax equity and debt financing structures is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to assess financial risks, model complex scenarios, and develop creative solutions to financial challenges. Deep understanding of corporate finance principles and investor relations best practices.
  • Financial Modeling Expertise: Advanced proficiency in building and adapting financial models for project finance, corporate finance, and investment analysis, with experience working on diverse types of projects and portfolios.
  • Transaction & Underwriting Experience: Prior exposure to project finance underwriting, M&A transactions, or corporate finance transactions is highly preferred.
  • Investor Relations: Experience in managing investor communications, preparing quarterly reports, and engaging with investors on performance metrics and strategic financial initiatives.

Role is based in Denver, CO but open to remote candidates as well.
