Job Description: ServiceNow QA Engineer with Tricentis Tosca Expertise
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow QA Engineer with Tricentis Tosca expertise to ensure the quality and reliability of our ServiceNow platform. This role involves leveraging Tricentis Tosca and other automation tools to execute comprehensive testing of ServiceNow modules, integrations, and customizations. The ideal candidate will combine strong QA skills, a deep understanding of ServiceNow, and hands-on experience with Tosca to develop automated test cases, maintain testing frameworks, and ensure seamless operations of the ServiceNow ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Strategy and Planning:
Define and implement a robust testing strategy for ServiceNow modules and integrations, aligning with business requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to create detailed test plans, test scripts, and traceability matrices for manual and automated testing.
Ensure proper test coverage, including functional, regression, system, and performance testing.
Automation Development and Execution:
Develop and maintain automated test cases using Tricentis Tosca, focusing on ServiceNow workflows, applications, and integrations.
Create modular, reusable automation scripts to enhance testing efficiency and scalability.
Execute automated and manual test scripts, validating test results and ensuring alignment with requirements.
Quality Assurance:
Perform detailed validation of ServiceNow functionalities, including ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, HRSD, and custom-built modules.
Identify, document, and prioritize defects; work with development teams to resolve issues.
Conduct root cause analysis of defects and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence.
Integration and Performance Testing:
Conduct end-to-end testing of ServiceNow integrations with third-party systems.
Execute performance and load testing to ensure platform scalability and reliability.
Collaboration and Reporting:
Work closely with developers, administrators, and project managers to align on quality standards and testing objectives.
Provide detailed testing reports, including defect analysis, test execution status, and recommendations for improvements.
Train and mentor team members on Tosca and ServiceNow testing best practices.
Continuous Improvement:
Optimize the Tosca testing framework by integrating new modules and improving automation coverage.
Stay up-to-date with ServiceNow releases, Tosca features, and industry testing trends.
Recommend process improvements to streamline QA workflows and increase testing efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
Technical Expertise:
Strong experience in testing ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, and custom applications.
Hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca, including test case design, execution, and automation framework development.
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) and APIs for ServiceNow testing and integration.
Knowledge of ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) is a plus.
Experience and Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of QA experience in enterprise platforms, with at least 2 years focused on ServiceNow testing and automation.
Proven experience in leveraging Tosca for large-scale automation projects.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with technical and business teams.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
ServiceNow certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD).
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) to integrate testing pipelines.
Knowledge of ITIL processes and frameworks.
