Senior Network Security Engineer

Direct Hire

Atlanta, GA (Hybrid: 8-10 days onsite per month)

Overview:

Our client is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic and rapidly growing organization. This role is pivotal in leading/mentoring a team of three Engineers across the Americas while playing an active hands-on role as a Senior Engineer in their global network. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, the aptitude to lead and mentor Jr. Engineers, and a passion for driving technology standards across a global enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of three engineers across the Americas (two in the US and one in South America), ensuring alignment with global standards. Is your next step in your career into a Lead role? If so, this could be a fit!
  • Global Collaboration: Partner with regional teams in Europe and APAC and provide guidance to ensure consistent implementation of network security standards globally.

Technical Expertise:
  • Actively contribute as a senior network engineer, supporting the design, implementation, and optimization of a global network.
  • Oversee network configurations, focusing on standardization through tools like Palo Alto Strata Cloud Manager or Panorama.
  • Manage Cisco-based data center environments and lead the transition to Palo Alto technologies, including Prisma Access (VPN and SASE) and next-generation firewalls.
  • Ensure the implementation of best practices for network security policies, including user ID and application-based security.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong experience in routing and switching within large enterprise environments.
  • Expertise in Palo Alto technologies, including Prisma Access, Strata Cloud Manager, Panorama, and next-generation firewalls.
  • Familiarity with Cisco data center environments and network infrastructure.
  • A mindset for network security best practices, with a focus on global standardization.
  • Prior experience working in a global organization, ideally with a focus on cross-regional collaboration and leadership.

Bonus Points If You Have:
  • Experience with Wi-Fi and telephony (e.g., Office 365 Calling and Microsoft Calling).
  • Knowledge of Wi-Fi infrastructure and telephony solutions, particularly in large-scale deployments.
  • Proven success in leading projects related to M&A network integration.
