Under direct supervision, this role supports the IT Asset Management (ITAM) team by overseeing and managing the operational tracking of hardware and software assets throughout the ITAM lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Track hardware and software as they progress through lifecycle stages, including requests, deployments, changes, repairs, reclamation, retirement, and disposal.
Receive incoming inventory promptly and maintain an organized workspace.
Inspect and validate incoming hardware and track shipments.
Assist with hardware/software refreshes and upgrades, infrastructure capacity planning, contract renewals, and vendor-led software audits.
Collaborate with desktop services and engineering teams to prepare, build, and configure laptops, desktops, and mobile devices for new hires, upgrades, and repairs.
Package and ship laptops, mobile devices, and accessories to remote team members.
Ensure necessary supplies are available to maintain employee productivity.
Provide exceptional customer service to internal customers and external vendors, addressing inquiries about ITAM processes, procedures, and services.
Stay updated on emerging industry technologies, trends, and strategies.
Support the organization's risk management initiatives by maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of systems and data.
Perform tasks as directed by the supervisor, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma, relevant certifications, or equivalent experience.
At least 3 months of experience in IT asset management, IT inventory, computer technician roles, or related coursework/internships.
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities to resolve issues effectively.
Proficiency in common office software and personal computers, depending on assignment.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
Successful completion of background and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in banking, office management, inventory, or IT asset management.
Additional related education or experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Office-based work environment with primary sedentary tasks requiring computer usage for extended periods.
Occasional standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching to identify asset details.
Must lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and handle negligible force frequently.
Visual acuity and manual dexterity for document preparation and equipment use.
Clear communication skills for interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
