DO YOU ALIGN WITH THESE KEY QUALIFICATIONS?
A Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Animal science, Business, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
10+ years of experience in plant operations, focusing on pork and beef processing, including leadership roles.
In-depth knowledge of pork/beef processing standards, safety regulations, and operational best practices.
Proven ability to lead diverse teams and drive cross-functional collaboration.
Strong problem-solving and process optimization skills, with a focus on innovation.
Budgeting and financial analysis expertise to meet and exceed profitability targets.
WHAT WILL YOUR SUCCESS LOOK LIKE?
We seek an experienced and results-oriented Plant Manager with a strong pork/ beef processing background to oversee all aspects of facility operations. This role is critical in driving safety, product quality, efficiency, and profitability while ensuring regulatory and company standards compliance. The Plant Manager will play a key role in fostering a high-performance culture and maintaining excellent relationships across departments.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Manage plant operations to ensure the production of high-quality pork/beef products, meeting customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
Drive a safety culture by implementing and maintaining robust workplace safety programs and proactively addressing hazards.
Lead workforce planning and management, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation, to build a skilled and motivated team.
Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards, including HACCP and SSOP protocols, while promoting continuous quality improvement.
Develop strategies to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize cost-effectiveness across all operations.
Collaborate with procurement and vendor teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and supplies for pork and beef processing.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to implement improvements in productivity and operational excellence.
Build and maintain strong relationships with union representatives, ensuring alignment with collective bargaining agreements.
