The IT Field Support Technician provides technical support for all incident and request tickets distributed through the IT Service Management System. This role includes administering desktop support and technical assistance for the installation, configuration, and deployment of workstations, printers, modems, phones, and various other computing and telecommunication technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform installation, configuration, and system administration for operating systems and application software, including upgrades and patches.
Provide technical support for PC software products, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, graphics, and communication software.
Maintain and document local IT hardware and manage new equipment installations, including cabling connections, wire management, and emergency power systems.
Coordinate and schedule vendor support, maintenance, and repairs.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and respond to emergency outages as needed, which may include varied working hours to implement technical solutions.
Provide remote support for users and sites as required.
