We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Solution Architect - Commercial Banking to support and drive our Commercial Lending initiative. This role will serve as a bridge between business needs and technology, taking on responsibilities as both a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) and a Product Owner (PO). The ideal candidate will excel in requirement gathering, solution design, and stakeholder communication while ensuring seamless integration across systems. Experience in Commercial Banking or Commercial Lending is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design and Requirement Gathering: • Gather and document detailed business requirements for the E2E Lending initiative, working closely with stakeholders and technology teams. • Design comprehensive business solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. • Map fields across systems, including UI to backend API, legacy API to new API, and other integration points.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: • Act as a key liaison between business teams, IT, and external vendors to ensure alignment and successful delivery of initiatives. • Communicate requirements, solution designs, and project progress effectively through presentations, reports, and dashboards. • Build strong interpersonal relationships across teams to foster collaboration and drive results.
Technology Integration and Architecture: • Partner with technical teams to ensure the successful integration of APIs, workflows, and processes into existing lending platforms. • Provide leadership and guidance on mapping and transitioning legacy systems to modern architectures (e.g., RESTful APIs).
Project Ownership: • Take on Product Owner responsibilities, managing the vision, roadmap, and backlog for the E2E Lending initiative. • Collaborate with Scrum teams to prioritize deliverables and ensure timely completion of project milestones. • Support testing and validation efforts, ensuring quality and compliance in all deliverables.
Continuous Improvement: • Identify process and system improvement opportunities, recommending enhancements to meet future business needs. • Stay updated on emerging trends in Commercial Lending, digital banking, and modern architecture practices.
Qualifications:
Education: • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: • 8+ years of experience as a Business Solution Architect, Business Systems Analyst (BSA), or Product Owner (PO) in the banking or financial services sector. • Proven experience driving large-scale projects, preferably in Commercial Lending or Commercial Banking. • Experience with API integrations, data mapping, and transitioning legacy systems to modern frameworks.
Skills and Competencies:
Technical Skills: • Strong understanding of Commercial Lending products, loan lifecycle processes, and financial systems. • Proficiency in working with APIs, including mapping and integration (SOAP, REST). • Experience in using tools such as Excel (data analysis) and PowerPoint (presentations) for effective communication and reporting. • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and their use in modern banking solutions.
Soft Skills: • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to present ideas and technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Requirement Gathering Expertise: Strong ability to elicit, document, and translate business needs into technical requirements. • Interpersonal Skills: Effective in building strong relationships across business and technical teams. • Presentation Skills: Confident in delivering impactful presentations to senior leadership and business stakeholders. • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address complex challenges.
Preferred Experience: • Hands-on knowledge of Commercial Lending platforms, loan origination systems, or similar financial services products is a strong plus. • Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience managing backlogs as a Product Owner.
